MCF-A Chair calls for prayer into Bondi Beach tragedy

By MCF_Admin

Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

Many of us have been looking on with dismay at the senseless slaughter of innocent people at Bondi. As people gathered to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, into this time of joy and light came the darkness of evil and sin resulting in broken lives and a grieving people.

Could I encourage the members of the MCF-A to lift up our Jewish brothers and sisters in prayer, to reach out to them and offer them comfort.  Despite the horror of the situation, it is important that we continue to focus on Jesus and on His Way of doing good and therefore not to lose heart.

Prayer – Lord You weep when your people hurt each other rather than love each other.  We lift up to you all those who have been killed, injured or affected by the senseless shooting at Bondi on 14th December.  Be with all those who are caring for the injured, and all the first responders and others who attended to help, give them the strength to continue in the days, months and years that follow. When darkness seems to prevail shine Your light so that we can follow your Way.  This we ask in your Holy Name. Amen
