A New Perspective
Steve, one of our very close family friends came out this morning with us for coffee. Being Mother’s Day eve, he was going on about how much he appreciated me as a mom juggling family work and ministry. However he took this opportunity of sharing something about his own spiritual journey. He is a teacher and a deeply spiritual person. He said, ‘God is teaching me to die to myself, God is preparing me to die a little more every day.’ He said he wanted to cut off everything that is distracting him from God. He wanted to spend more time in His presence- like marinating in the love of God 😀 He was reminded of how one time, on his way to a Christian music concert, he met with an accident, smashed on both sides like a ping pong ball between a semi-truck and the fence and he simply walked out of it unscathed. His car was written off. He felt a whole host of angels all around him. He walked back home on the freeway that night. He said, ‘Spiritual warfare is a real thing. It’s important to realise that you have an anointing on you. God is this person with a 700 km bandwidth and you are like this person with a 1 mm. He is so awesome.’
I came home with a new perspective.
So MCF members, know who you are and whose you are! You are a child of God. You are a warrior. May you be covered with the blood of Jesus and the whole armour of God as you take your stand in Defence for Australia, to be the salt and light, to manifest the presence of God through the Holy Spirit living in you; to build His kingdom! As you pray on your knees for yourself, your family, your workplace, your church, may you see your purpose clearly. May your eyes be fixed on Jesus the author and finisher of your faith, may your work bring about the Godly culture that comes about by obeying the Word of God! May you reach your heavenly home one day to receive the greatest award ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’
May you reap a rich harvest as you sow faithfully into His kingdom work in Defence.
